very cool, but is there a way to optimize my recordings for your particular setup? i.e. i know the google speech api prefers lossless filetypes, e.g. flac, but i have some mp3 and some wav…
another couple of important things are having a timestamp every so often and importing a lexicon (i use a lot of scientific words in my notes)… speaker diarization would be good too… and all for FREE! hahaha ok but really, i need to optimize my recordings for your setup since they’re generally mp3 …

Our speech recognition engine has been trained on mp3 files. But it’s not really the format which matters, it’s how clear the voices are. You just have to keep the mic as close to your mouth as possible.

Scientific terminology can be a hit or miss. We do not yet have support for adding a lexicon. But you can use the editor and correct it manually yourself. We do provide another service where we can build a special model just suited for your needs and guaranteed to work well with your files.

Diarization and time-coding are not yet released. Those will be paid features.
