Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 6th July 2026

1. Introduction

1.1 This Cookie Policy explains how Scribie Technologies, Inc. ("Scribie," "we," "our," or "us") uses cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, local storage, and similar technologies (collectively, "cookies") when you access or use our website, APIs, enterprise interfaces, or related online services (collectively, the "Services").

1.2 This Cookie Policy should be read together with Scribie's Privacy Policy. By continuing to use the Services, you agree to the use of cookies as described in this Policy, unless you disable cookies through your browser or cookie-consent tools.

1.3 Scribie may update this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our use of cookies. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by notification as required by applicable law.

2. What Are Cookies?

2.1 Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies allow websites to function properly, enhance user experience, recognize preferences, and analyze how services are used.

2.2 Cookies may be:

  • First-party cookies (set by Scribie);
  • Third-party cookies (set by external providers such as analytics or payment partners);
  • Session cookies (deleted when your browser session ends); or
  • Persistent cookies (remain stored for a specified duration).

3. Legal Basis for Cookie Usage

3.1 Where required by law, Scribie uses cookies based on the following lawful bases:

  • Performance of a contract, where cookies are essential for providing the Services;
  • Legitimate interests, including security, fraud prevention, and service analytics;
  • Consent, for non-essential cookies such as analytics or marketing technologies.

3.2 Non-essential cookies (including analytics, advertising, and marketing cookies) are disabled by default and are activated only after you provide explicit consent through our cookie banner or preference center. Until you make a choice, no non-essential cookies are set and no analytics or advertising data is sent. This default-deny behavior applies to all visitors, regardless of location.

3.3 Where consent is granted or withdrawn, Scribie communicates your choice to its analytics and advertising providers using consent-signaling mechanisms (such as Google Consent Mode), so that data is collected only to the extent you have permitted.

3.4 Microsoft Clarity records anonymized interaction patterns (mouse movements, clicks, scrolls) for UX analysis. Clarity does not capture, intercept, or record the content of any communication, form input, or keystroke. Sensitive content fields are masked by default. No cookie or tracking technology deployed by Scribie intercepts, records, or monitors the content of any communication in transit.

4. Types of Cookies We Use

4.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies: These cookies enable core functionality such as page navigation, authentication, payment processing, and security. The Services cannot function properly without these cookies.

4.2 Functional Cookies: These cookies allow Scribie to remember your preferences (e.g., language, session settings) and enhance user experience.

4.3 Analytics and Performance Cookies: These cookies help Scribie understand how users interact with the Services, diagnose technical issues, and improve system performance. Analytics cookies typically collect aggregated, non-identifying information.

4.4 Advertising and Marketing Cookies: Scribie uses advertising and conversion-tracking cookies from partners such as Google Ads and Microsoft Bing Ads to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and understand how users arrive at our Services. These cookies are not strictly necessary and are set only after you provide explicit consent. When enabled, these partners may receive identifiers and browsing information and may process that data for their own purposes — including ad measurement and personalization — in accordance with their respective privacy policies. Scribie does not control how these partners subsequently use such data. You may grant or withdraw consent at any time through our cookie consent tool.

6. How You Can Manage Cookies

6.1 You may control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or receive alerts before a cookie is stored.

6.2 Disabling certain cookies (particularly strictly necessary cookies) may impair functionality of the Services, including login capability, user preference saving, and session continuity.

6.3 Users in regions requiring cookie consent will see a cookie banner that allows acceptance, rejection, or customization of cookie categories.

6.4 When you withdraw consent through the cookie settings, non-essential cookies are deleted and associated tracking scripts are deactivated for the remainder of your session. Previously collected data from that session will not be retroactively deleted but will not be linked to future sessions.

7. Third-Party Cookies

7.1 Some cookies used in the Services are placed by third-party providers (such as Google, Microsoft, and Zendesk). Where these cookies are non-essential, they are loaded only after you provide consent. Once active, these providers may process Personal Information, including online identifiers and browsing activity, for their own purposes in accordance with their own privacy policies.

7.2 Scribie does not control the operation of third-party cookies. Any Personal Information collected through such cookies is processed by the relevant third-party provider in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable laws.

8. Cross-Site Tracking and Advertising Technologies

8.1 Scribie uses advertising and conversion-tracking cookies from Google Ads and Microsoft Bing Ads to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and understand how users arrive at our Services. When you consent to advertising cookies, identifiers and browsing information may be shared with these partners and used for ad measurement and, where applicable, personalization under their own privacy policies. Scribie does not use this data to build its own cross-site behavioral profiles; however, we cannot guarantee how third-party partners use data once shared. These cookies fire only after explicit consent.

8.2 You may accept, decline, or customize advertising cookies through our cookie consent banner at any time, and you may withdraw consent later through the cookie settings.

9. International Data Transfers

Where cookies or tracking technologies involve Personal Information transfers outside your jurisdiction, Scribie implements appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy mechanisms.

10. Cookie Declaration (Live List)
